The Wikipad Review (With 6 Month Update)

The Wikipad was released a few months ago and there have been no useful reviews on it. I bought it at launch and here is my take on this nifty piece of technology.

When it comes to gaming, there really is no other competition on the Android market that compares to the Wikipad in terms of usability and practicality. The Wikipad, powered by Nvidia's Tegra 3 (1.4ghz), runs emulators perfectly. I have tested N64, PS1, DS, GBA, GBC, Neo Geo; all play flawlessly with the controller. The PSP emulator is still slow. Only a few games are smooth, but give it 6 months and I bet PSP will be up and running on this thing too.

League of Legends: Creep Waves

I've been playing League of Legends for about 8 months now and have hovered in the 1600 elo range. I've seen a lot of common mistakes players make. Those little minions are the key to getting some relatively easy kills. Listed below are the basics to controlling the creep waves and the benefits of doing so properly.

Black Ops: The Quick Scope

Boom, Headshot
Quick Scoping has been around since the dawn of online first person shooters. Those who performed well with it were highly respected and a very strong force to fight. Maps such as de_dust2 from Counter Strike had long alleyways that made sniping a very deadly tool.

A Look at Mouse Pads

Mouse pads have sort of lost their importance since the dawn of the laser mouse, but they still have many uses. It is important to know how your mouse works before you buy a pad. If it's a laser mouse, do not get a semitransparent mouse pad, or the laser will flicker around. Are you a high sensitivity player? Then get a large mouse pad might not be so necessary.

Verdict: F1 2010

This review may be late, but I decided to post it to honor the upcoming 2011 season opening in Malaysia. F1 2010 is developed by Codemasters, the same creators as Dirt 2 and the upcoming Dirt 3. It takes you into the shoes of an F1 driver, much like the style of Dirt 2. There are Races, Time Trials, Qualifying, and Practices. Everything in an entire racing weekend can be done. Now on to the gameplay.

The G15/19 and World of WarCraft

Logitech G15 ver. 2
When the G15 was first released, logitech proudly showed off its macro abilities that the special G keys on the side could perform. Fully programmable keys were sure to help you play your character to its max. Now I am a WoW vetern. I've been playing since early BC and have racked up nearly 3k hours playing various classes. I decided I wanted the G15 so that it would help me play better. I found my version 2 G15 on ebay for around $40.

Indie Corner: Bloodline Champions

An intense battle between the Cold and Warm teams
Bloodline Champions is a neat little game being developed by Stunlock Studios. It stresses hardcore competition. The game that seems most similar is the arena in Diablo 3. You fight in teams of up to 5 players against others in multiple game modes. Each champion has 6 spells and an ultimate. There is no mana and all spells are skill shot based. There are different bloodlines including tanks, healers, ranged dps, and melee dps.
